  • 2 inches fresh turmeric root (peeled)

  • 1 small lemon (juiced)

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)

  • 23 tablespoons filtered water

Instructions

    Grate the ginger and turmeric into a fine pulp. If you’re using a high-speed blender, you can chop instead.

  2. Add the pulp to a blender along with lemon juice, black pepper, honey (if using), and water.

  3. Blend until smooth and fully combined.

  4. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a small glass or jar.

  5. Press or squeeze to extract all the liquid. Discard the pulp.

  6. Drink immediately, or refrigerate in a sealed glass jar for up to 3 days.
